Snowbird Central

These Florida hotspots will nestle you as low as Southern heat goes.

Destin RV Beach Resort

362 Miramar Beach Drive Miramar Beach, FL 32550 (850) 837-3529

Road Trip: Destin isn’t called the “World’s Luckiest Fishing Village” for no reason. Deepsea fishing with Green Beret Charters is not to be missed, but you can actually get started with a 200-yard walk. The Destin RV Beach Resort offers Private Beach Access, free parking, relaxed dining at the Surf Hut, and crowdless shores from which you can cast a line into the waves.

Bickley RV Park

5640 Seminole Blvd Seminole, FL 33772 (727) 392-3807

Road Trip: Snowbirds gotta think bigger than the campground—even ones as nice as Bickley RV Park. Because if you’re going to be somewhere for a season, you want that place to be awesome. And the St. Petersburg and Sarasota art scene is surreal. The Salvador Dali Museum is only a half-hour trip away, with some weird and wonderful art worthy of any bucket list.

Cypress Trail RV Resort

5468 Tice Street Fort Myers, FL 33905 (239) 333-3246

Road Trip: Staying active in the winter months is a lot easier in the sunshine—with Fort Myers’ 74º F average high. Cypress Trail RV resort has plenty to do (aquatics, pickleball, bocce, etc.), but you’ll also wanna strike west toward Sanibel Island, bringing your bike along. Miles of smooth bicycle trails lace the island, providing access to hidden beaches that cars—and crowds—can’t reach.

Road Trip: There’s a lot to love about Fort Lauderdale: warm temps, wide beaches, and golf courses galore. This luxury 5-star RV Resort (for newer Class As only) also slaps dab in the middle of South Florida’s shopping epicenter—where you can browse the Galleria at Fort Lauderdale and then retire to the white walls, white sands, and blue waves of Central Beach.
