It’s fall, y’all, and that means it’s time to roll into fun and festivals with RV events & happenings across the country. As the air starts to feel crisp and cool, the leaves put on a vivid show, and apple orchards and pumpkin patches across the States open up, it’s one of our favorite times to travel.
Get out the fall decorations—perhaps some pumpkin or spooky fairy lights, colorful leaf garlands, and plaid pillows. Don’t forget some cozy blankets for star-gazing and possibly some battery-operated candles to create a warm glow around the campsite.

The National Apple Harvest Festival
Dates: October 4 – 5 & 11 – 12, 2025
Location: Biglerville, Pennsylvania
If you can’t get enough of crisp autumn air, orchards bursting with fruit, and the sweet smell of apple cider, set your GPS to the National Apple Harvest Festival in Biglerville, Pennsylvania. The event lasts two magical weekends, and you’ll find a wide array of handcrafted art (over 300 arts and craft vendors), live music, and even an antique car show.
If you’re bringing the kids or grandkids along for the adventure, take some time to wander through fruit-laden orchard tours and enjoy seasonal treats (don’t miss the cider donuts!) that will remind you of simpler times when tradition, community, and autumn’s bounty were fully embraced.
At the end of the day, you can relax and sip some hot spiced apple cider at the campsite (the Gettysburg Campground and Gettysburg/Battlefield KOA Holiday are about 7 miles from town), or head back into town to enjoy the evening entertainment, including live music.
Best of all, every dollar you spend helps fund local parks, school programs, and other community causes.

Location: Nashville, TN
Combine live bluegrass and country music with epic hayrides, a huge corn maze, sunflower field, and pumpkin patch for fall family fun on the farm. Slow down for a river walk, amp up the fun with games, and get the kids excited by the petting zoo and pony rides. The claim that there is truly “Something for Everyone” at this fall festival may sound difficult to live up to, but they do it! Irresistible seasonal food, live music, handmade crafts, interactive displays, and demonstrations keep attendees of all ages engaged.

The ultimate playground for overlanders, adventure motorists, and rugged gear-lovers, Overland Expo East drops you in the center of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, so when you’re not checking out the more than 250 exhibitors, you can feast your eyes on the gorgeous changing leaves. There’s so much here to inspire your outdoor adventures.

For nearly 50 years, the Banner Elk community has welcomed new and old friends for woolly worm races, food and craft vendors, live entertainment, and more to help predict the high country winter weather (and possibly win the $1,000 bounty).
