A Better RV Tax Is Proposed
Two congresswomen have proposed a new tax update that would roll back a previous mix-up in the tax code that inadvertently punished certain types of RV owners. U.S. Reps. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) and Dina Titus (D-Nev.) introduced the bill to bring more fairness to RV tax laws. Congresswoman Walorski says, “The RV industry supports tens of thousands of jobs in northern Indiana and across the country. These made-in-America products will play a vital role in our economic recovery, but one provision in the tax code is putting certain RVs at a disadvantage.
This commonsense bill would fix that by restoring tax parity so all types of RVs—including travel trailers and campers—are treated equally.”

New RV Park Openings
One black couple is building what they say is one of the largest black-owned RV parks in the country according to a story on RVTravel.com. Alicia and U.S. veteran Nathan Lawson are opening the Time Away RV Resort in Lincoln, Alabama with 100 pull-through sites, swimming pool,
shower house, dog park, and more.
Roads Are Infrastructure
No matter how you feel about the package of infrastructure projects President Joe Biden has proposed, there’s no doubt the $621 billion he has earmarked specifically for transportation is likely to improve the drive for millions of RVers. Which begs the question: Does reliable Wi-Fi count as infrastructure? We can only hope.

Alabama RV Parks Can Now Evict
Alabama Governor Kay Ivey has signed into law legislation that would allow RV Parks the same recourse as motels and hotels, who can request law enforcement remove unwanted, unpaying, or unruly guests.
