The CrossRoads 2023 Volante: Options to Oggle At

“Volar” in Spanish means “to fly.” Now, we’re not linguistic experts, but we aren’t too bad with words. So, you can trust us when we say that an RV model called Volante should make you feel like you’re flying free down the road. If we’re being technical, volante is the Spanish adjective for “flying,” but you see our point: if you’re in a CrossRoads Volante, there’s a good shot you’ll have to fight the urge to take it flying.

The Volante is all about enhancing the camping experience. Starting with a range of floorplans. Like, a serious range. You can pick from 10 spacious travel trailers (each with a king-sized bed!) or 20 (yes, 20!) different fifth-wheel floorplans. When we say there’s an option for everyone, we mean it.

And though the features on the travel trailers and fifth wheels vary slightly, in each group almost all floorplans come with the essential standard features: stylish and modern exteriors with LED lighting, power awnings, and outdoor speakers; a fully-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances; an 81” interior ceiling height in the living room (travel trailers only); and power stabilizing jacks. Plus, every Volante model includes a lightweight and durable laminated sidewall structure for better insulation and strength.

You’ll find similar elements inside each floorplan, but each one has them arranged in their own unique way. For example, amongst the travel trailers, you can select a more open floorplan like the VL28BH or VL29RB, or opt for something with the galley, bathroom, and bedroom more compartmentalized, like VL22FD. Regardless of which layout you find yourself in, you’ll enjoy a fireplace, residential-style furniture an 80” dinette, and a foot-flush porcelain toilet.

Thinking of where to sleep? More options await! Do you have two heads that need pillows? Or four? Volante floorplans have room for both. Amongst the fifth wheels, many of the models have a master bed and two bunks or Tri-Fold Hide-A-Bed Fold sofa. These include the VL365MD, the VL3851FL, and the VL270BH.

We said the Volante had a modern exterior. That extends inside too. Volante trailers boast a built-in entertainment center with either a 50” TV or a 39” TV, Bluetooth-enabled sound system, and USB charging ports. The bathrooms are equipped with spacious showers, and a vanity with a sink and storage.

The Volante floorplans also keep you flying safely. All models feature a power tongue jack for easy hitching and leveling, as well as a backup camera prep for enhanced visibility while maneuvering. The RVs also have an electric stabilizer jack system for stability when parked.

Thirty floorplans are a lot. But should you need more, you can get it. Crossroads RV offers a range of optional upgrades and packages for the Volante, allowing for even more customization with items like upgraded insulation, solar prep, an outdoor kitchen, or a second air conditioning unit.

Finally, it’s important to mention that wouldn’t be just flying in Volante. You’d be flying in an award-winning vehicle. The Volante is proudly a winner of the RV Pro Best of Show 2019 award and the RVNews New Unit Best of Show. Sounds like a win to us!
