The Full Hookup: Northern Shores

Not all vacays go South. Northeastern beach fronts have a character all of their own with seals and lighthouses, fantasy parks, and great golf.

Pomona RV Park and Campground

Road Trip: It’s hard to say what Storybook Land is exactly. Here’s our best shot: It’s a part theme park, part carnival, and part playground. What’s not hard to say is why you should go—it’s a paradise for kiddos. (Also, Atlantic City is right next door for the adults.)

Aces High RV Park

Road Trip: Do some seal spotting while taking in the beachy sights of the Niantic Bay Boardwalk. You’ll love the great views, and with downtown Niantic just a hop, skip, and jump away, you’ll have plenty of ways to spend a delicious day of leisure.

Atlantic Oaks Campground

Road Trip: According to local legend, the Three Sisters Lighthouses of Eastham got their name because they looked like women in white dresses from the Atlantic. Today, they still shine, lighting up a great night trip after a day on Cape Cod’s beachy peninsula.

Bayley’s Camping Resort

Road Trip: Swing up the road a few miles from Pine Point Beech to Willowdale Golf Club. Majestic rivers flank the front and back nine of the course, making a beautiful golfscape. But the hidden gem is their vintage golf car collection from the 1950s and ‘60s.
