Cummins’ latest fixed-mount RV generator, the Onan QG 4000i, takes RV power to the next level. Perfect for a Class C RV, this generator is the latest addition to Cummins’ line of inverter generators that won’t disrupt the peace.
Available for use with gasoline and EVAP certified, the QG 4000i is not only quieter, but it’s lighter and more fuel efficient as well.
The QG 4000i is 13% lighter than its predecessor at 149 lbs. It’s also fuel efficient with variable speed operation and returnless, closed-loop Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI). Certified to EPA emissions standards and CARB 2024-2027 SORE standards, you are getting the best fuel economy available in an RV generator. This means you can stay out longer and fill up the gas tank less.
Most importantly, the QG 4000i has noticeably reduced sound and vibration at 65.8 dB (half load). Thanks to Cummins’ advanced technology, RVers no longer have to deal with a loud generator disrupting their RV experience. RVers can simply experience nature without extra noise.
Over the last few months, the Cummins RV team has been promoting the QG 4000i and the RVing lifestyle on the Onan Unplugged Tour. The team took out a newly renovated Class C on various adventures ranging from the North Carolina Coast to tailgating at the Brickyard 400 race in Indianapolis, stopping at Harvest Hosts locations along the way.
The Class C has the QG 4000i installed, so the team has made good use of the generator, especially when boondocking in beautiful locations or while driving down the road to keep the refrigerator cold.
